How do you ensure equitable digital access in your classroom?

Due to socioeconomic differences it is very important that all students have equitable access to all technologies in the classroom during instruction. Teachers should incorporate an appropriate amount of time designed specifically for students to interact on the computers, iPods, smartboards, etc. The power of technology is a double-edged sword, especially for education. While it presents obvious potential for changing education and empowering teachers and students, technology may also further divide members of our society along socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural lines and widen the gender gap (Roblyer, 2016).
